Hayato Yonekura is an average, boring salaryman who loves and appreciates all kinds of cuisines—whether they be Japanese, Western, or others. Every Friday night, he meets up with his coworker Kouki Shiina and the two share a meal together. Though they have nothing else in common, time seems to melt away as they feed their mutual passion for good food and gâteau au chocolat. After getting roped into a new project, Shiina tells Yonekura that they cannot continue with their Friday night tradition until things settle down. With this sudden decision, their relationship complicates—adding to the tension from Shiina's earlier confession to Yonekura one of the times they were together.
