Since ancient times, the arcane arts have been used as tools of political strife and weapons of war. Practitioners of these arts, known as spellcasters, sought to ensure the survival of their kind by demonstrating the utility of their powers to the government. However, as the ages passed and the number of spellcasters grew, momentum built within the arcane community to reassess their societal standing. It was in this climate that a nation of spellcasters—commonly known as the Eastern Enchantment—was born. And the governing body of this land came to be called... the Empyreal Cabinet.
