Baiyaku Kakebachou Kuzuryuu

Kuzuryuu, a traveling medicine peddler carrying a kakebachou (a customer ledger carried by medicine peddlers) with a picture of a kuzuryuu (nine-headed dragon) on the cover, traveled from province to province, taking on troublesome tasks under the name “baiyaku” (buying misfortune). Buying and selling the “Kengajou”—which is practically a peddler’s lifeline—and traveling all over Japan, Kuzuryuu’s goal is to unravel the mystery of his own birth.
